Julie Spilsbury, and her husband of over 28 years have six children and have lived in Mesa’s District 2 for more than two decades. Both are products of Mesa Public Schools, attending elementary, junior high, and high school in the area. Together, they ran a family tree care business for 23 years.
Julie has been active for over two decades in local schools and was once named Volunteer of the Month for Mesa Public Schools. Both of her parents were teachers, which instilled in her a lifelong drive to support those who lead our children.
Julie is passionate about building a strong sense of community. She started the #MesaKindness campaign while serving on the city council and spends much of her time fostering community partnerships with those she works with and represents.
Julie sings in local choirs, loves to bake (she is known for her famous cinnamon rolls), plays piano, and enjoys spending time outdoors hiking. She loves spending time with her family and attended Brigham Young University.
